Notes to Parents & Guardians

Parents and guardians, please take a moment to review your child’s grades and assignments in Infinite Campus. The information you gather here can help to facilitate conversations at home. It is a great opportunity to celebrate successes and encourage improvement.

The May 14th AP Human Geography Exam

The Exam will be given at the West Des Moines Christian Church (4501 Mills Civic Pkwy) on Tuesday, May 14 beginning at 12:00 pm. Estimated finish time for the test will be 2:45 pm. Students will be bused to the church from Southwoods. Those students with school licenses are allowed to drive to the test. We request parent pick-up at the church rather than having the students return to Southwoods for a few minutes of class. Students are to eat first lunch that day and board the buses at 11:30 am. The test is challenging and their nerves will be on high that day. They will be tired when it is over.

VSW Registration Packet Volunteers Needed: Four parent volunteers are needed to help assemble registration packets. Students of the parent volunteers can also sign up to help and earn Silver Cord hours.

Monday, June 3, 2019, from 9 – 11:00 am. Sign-up (click here). Thanks for your consideration!

If you have any questions or would like to sign up by email, please contact Julie Bebensee (email click here).
