Community Service
SILVER CORD AND PARENT VOLUNTEERS are needed for the Valley and Walnut Creek After Prom Party! The event will be held at Valley High School. Sign-up to volunteer on Friday, April 12 for set-up, deliveries and prep or to help at the After Prom Party event on Saturday, April 13. Volunteers are also needed for tear-down on Sunday, April 14. Parents and guardians, please take a moment to review your child’s grades and assignments in Infinite Campus. The information you gather here can help to facilitate conversations at home. It is a great opportunity to celebrate successes and encourage improvement.

Team Sam Blood Drive: My name is Rachel Steim and I am a senior attending Valley High School. I have been a part of the WDM school district since kindergarten and my cousin, Sam LeMar, was apart of this district from kindergarten until eighth grade. In August 2015, Sam passed away after being diagnosed with Leukemia eighteen months prior. For the past four years, my family and I have hosted a “Team Sam” blood drive to both celebrate his life and to help other children in need of blood donations.
On March 30th, we will be holding our 5th annual blood drive at Valley High School from 8am-1pm and we are looking for potential blood donors. Would you be willing to hang up the attached flyer around your school and send post about the event in your newsletter. For every donation, up to three lives will be saved.
I would also like to mention that staff members with children will be offered many kids activities such as face painting, balloon animals, etc. We will also have raffle prizes and customized treats :).

The Valley Orchestra Guild Spring Flower fundraiser is again pleased to offer spring plants. The order form may be found (click here). Order forms are due by Tuesday, April 2nd.
Valley Dance Team Auditions: The team invites all dancers who will be in grades 9-12 in the 2019-2020 school year to their auditions (April 25th, 2019)! See today’s announcements for details or (click here hardcopy).
· Each dancer and a guardian will be required to attend an information meeting in the Valley High School Forum on April 22nd, 2019 from 6-7:00 pm.
· Dancers will be required to attend both audition practice times on April 23rd, 2019 from 5:30-7:15 pm in the Valley High School North Gym and April 24th, 2019 from 5:30-8:00 pm in the Valley North Gym.
· Closed Auditions will be April 25th from 7:15-9:00 pm in the Valley North Gym.
