Students are reminded that by now you should be signed up for one of next week’s (Dec. 18) Encore sessions. If you do not pick one for yourself, one will be assigned to you.
· To make sure you are signed up, use Infinite Campus to check your schedule and you should see an Encore session that includes next Tuesday’s date in red.
· If you have any questions, talk to any teacher.
Student Council
. . . will be collecting donations during lunch TODAY and Friday (Dec. 13 & 14) to pool money together for a teacher appreciation breakfast. We would appreciate any help you can provide.
Community Service
Des Moines Botanical Gardens winter program, basketball coaches for elementary students, and the Montessori Children’s House’s “Winter Wonderland” are all looking for volunteers. For more information, visit the Silver Cord website.

Parents and guardians, please take a moment to review your child’s grades and assignments in Infinite Campus. The information you gather here can help to facilitate conversations at home. It is a great opportunity to celebrate successes and encourage improvement.

Semester Test Schedule: Tuesday (Jan. 8) will run on a “Monday” schedule (period 1-8 schedule, no advisory). Transfer buses between VHS & VSW will also be running on a “Monday” schedule. Please note that Monday (Jan 14) is a staff workday, so there is no school for students. School resumes on Tuesday (Jan. 15, first day of second semester) at standard school times and it will be a regular Odd Orange day.

· Period 5, 10:00 AM-11:30 AM
Lunch: 11:30 AM-12:05 PM
· Period 7, 12:10 PM-1:40 PM
Buses arrive at 2:35 PM

Please Note:
· The buses transporting students from VHS back to VSW after each test will leave seven minutes after the test ends at VHS. For Example: The first period test on Wednesday ends at 9:50 am, the transfer bus will leave VHS at 9:57 for VSW.
· We are aware that means our students will be a bit late getting here. We will allow the transfer students to go to their semester test once they arrive (they will NOT follow the normal late/tardy student procedures).
