Students are reminded that by now you should be signed up for one of next week’s (Nov. 13) Encore sessions. If you do not pick one for yourself, one will be assigned to you.
· To make sure you are signed up, use Infinite Campus to check your schedule and you should see an Encore session that includes next Tuesday’s date in red.
· If you have any questions, talk to any teacher.
Winter Warmth Drive
The annual cold weather clothes drive (more info. click here) ends TODAY (Oct 29-Nov. 8). We want to thank all of you that brought in cold weather gear!
Sports News
There will be a wrestling meeting Friday morning (Nov. 9) at 7:55 in Coach Rasmussen’s room (270D). Please plan to attend if you are going to wrestle this year.

The 9th Boys Basketball Parent/Guardian meeting is TONIGHT (Nov. 8) at 6 PM in the Valley Southwoods Forum. Please attend to get information from the coach on season expectations, schedule, and game information.
There will be NO regular monthly Drama Boosters meeting for November. The next regular booster meeting will be on Monday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m.
Please join us for the next Valley and Valley Southwoods PTO meeting on Thursday, November 8 at Noon at the Learning Resource Center. In addition to updates from the principals, our speaker will be VHS Counselor Eric Traynor who will be telling us about college planning and the counseling services available at both Valley and Valley Southwoods.
Girls Track & Field Gear: Track and Field athletes, along with their family and friends, can now order Tiger Track Gear and have it here in time for the holidays (click here). The "online store" will close at midnight on November 12.
Thanksgiving Week Reminders
• School meets Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 19 & 20).
• Please note that Tuesday, November 20 will be a full orange day (period 1-8 schedule).
• On Tuesday, buses between VHS & VSW will be running on a “Monday” schedule.
• Thanksgiving Break begins on Wednesday (Nov. 21-23).
• School resumes at normal times the following Monday (Nov. 26) a full black day.
