A reminder that students need their school ID to get into the dance. If you need a replacement ID, you need to go to the office before 1:15 this afternoon. There will not be time for the office to make ID’s once you return from today’s Homecoming Assembly.
Raffle
Going to the game tonight? Get a 50/50 Raffle ticket for a chance to win CASH! 50% of ticket sales to the winner and 50% goes to Valley Voices to support ALL Valley and Valley Southwoods choirs!
· Tickets are $1 per ticket, $10 for 15 tickets or $20 for 40 tickets.
· Watch for volunteers selling tickets before the game.
· The winning ticket will be announced at half time and shown on the scoreboard. It will also be posted after half time at www.valleyvocalmusic.org.
· Thanks for supporting Valley & Southwoods choirs!
Vending Machines
Students are reminded the food and drink vending machines near the forum are not on during school hours. Please DO NOT put money into the machines during the day.
5th Quarter
All Valley and Valley Southwoods students are invited to attend the 5th Quarter immediately following the varsity football game at the Valley Community Center. Sponsored by FCA and Valley Church, there will be prizes, extreme volleyball, 9 square in the air, free pizza, pop and cookies. This week, we’ll also have an Improv group for some comedy. Stop by after the game at the Valley Community Center on Fuller Rd across from Valley Church for the 5th Quarter. Doors open at 9:30 pm and the event ends at 11 pm.

You need to get your jersey back to Mr. Pate before Friday (Sep. 15). You will be charged if it doesn’t get turned in.

Homecoming Dance Reminders:
· A reminder that Junior High students are not allowed to attend High School sponsored dances of any kind. This includes: Valley Southwoods dances, the 9-12 Homecoming Dance, the 9-12 Winter Dance, and any other High School dances scheduled throughout any school year in West Des Moines.
· All WDMCS students must have a valid school ID, guests must have a valid photo ID, to enter the dance. If you do not have proper ID, you will not be allowed into the dance (even if you have already purchased a ticket).
· This weekends’ school dance is a semi-formal attire affair. So, no jeans, shorts, hats, canes, jerseys, sunglasses, or costumes allowed. We would suggest khaki pants with a collar shirt and tie for the boys; nice dress (but not long or formal “gowns;” dress length must be consistent with student dress code) for the girls.

N situation?? Then sponsor a Valley Tigers Football Game for Student Scholarship Fund! Interested individual or business sponsors donate money for every touchdown. The cost of a sponsorship is $25.00 per touchdown with a max total of $200/game. After each touchdown made, your name will be announced as a proud sponsor of Student Scholarship Fund. All donations are tax deductible. Support the Tigers, Support Student Scholarship Fund and have your name or business name announced as a supporter to all who attend!
